Alexey Kylasov became as coordinator of the UNESCO Advisory board Ad hoc working group on traditional sports and games

On December 8 at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris Alexey Kylasov included as coordinator of the UNESCO Advisory board Ad hoc working group on traditional sports and games.

The diplomats from the Permanent Missions of Austria, India, Netherlands, Pakistan, Russia and Turkey attended at the meeting, they are noted the coordination of decisions in the implementation of the \»Kazan Action Plan\» adopted by the Sixth International Conference of Ministers and Senior Officials Responsible for Physical Education and Sport (MINEPS VI) in this year in Kazan (Russia). 

Under the chairperson of Khalil Ahmed Khan (Pakistan), and UNESCO Secretariat representative Marcellin Dally, the UNESCO Advisory board Ad hoc working group on traditional sports and games identified key persons:

Alexey Kylasov (Russia), Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, President of the Ethnosport World Society (Canada) – coordinator for Resources and Communications
Pere Lavega (Spain), University of Lerida, President of the European Association of Traditional Sports and Games – coordinator for Policy Guidelines on traditional sports and games
Pierre Parlebas (France), Rene Descartes University (Paris V) – coordinator for the creation Encyclopedia on traditional sports and games
Wolfgang Baumann (Germany), Secretary General of TAFISA – coordinator for the International Platform of organizations on traditional sports and games

The UNESCO Advisory board Ad hoc working group on traditional sports and games consists of experts – leading scientists, representatives of organizations and institutions, among them:

Guy Jaouen (France), founding president of the European Association of Traditional Sports and Games 
Ezzeddine Bouzid (Tunisia), president of the Tunisian Traditional Games Association
Joseph Rashidi Salumi (Congo Democratic Republic), president of the Congolese Association of Traditional Games

In the course of the meeting, it decided that the next technical meeting, in which only the coordinators, the group leader and responsible representatives of the UNESCO secretariat would take part in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in March 2018.

The next venue for the UNESCO Collective Consultation on Traditional Sports and Games is Khanty-Mansiysk, Russia, in the first week of July 2018, during traditional games with oblas (a kayaking style) during the Khanty and Mansi celebrating Vit Khon Hatl (Water Spirit Day).
